I had a wonderful time at this secluded lodge surrounded by nature. The spacious rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the hotel facilities were impressive with ample parking available. The location was tranquil and serene with a beautiful garden area right down on the river. Additionally, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they went above and beyond to provide alternative suggestions for activities in public areas. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious and filling to start off the day.
Nothing for me.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Lodge and wish we had booked for longer. Wonderfully relaxing with a river flowing at the bottom of where our accommodation was. We were sitting, reading when a small herd of deer walked by! The staff were friendly and obliging and Cynthia, the manager, outstanding. Food was excellent, a gtreat selection for breakfast and dinner outstanding. The chef made a tasty vegetarian meal for my daughter at short notice.

We had an amazing stay in a beautiful garden setting, surrounded by nature and overlooking a river. the rooms were spacious, well-furnished, and had a comfortable bed. the breakfast served on the verandah was delicious, and we enjoyed hearing hippos in the evening. the friendly staff was always available for assistance, and the facilities, including the bar and lounge, were great.
The internet reception was poor in some rooms.

I was so surprised when i saw the rooms! First I thought they gave us the wrong bungalow for that money! Unbelievable how nice the bungalows are for that little money! The place is so cool also, in the middle of nature, I was a little bit surprised that we had to go off-road with a normal car to get there. But that made it a lot more special! (no problem by normal car). I would surely recommend this place to everyone who likes luxury, nature, relaxing and the location is close to God’s Window and Three Rondavels. The staff was very friendly and helpful also Cynthia was very nice to us and the breakfast that was included was great. I give them a big10! And also… there are walking all kind of animals on the area, so cool! (no dangerous once besides the hippo’s and crocodiles in the water)

We had an amazing time at Blyde River Wilderness Lodge. It is so peaceful and relaxing we wish we had stayed longer. The accommodation is top notch. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful letting us know about local tourist things to do. The price was excellent. The breakfast was also very good - compliments to the chef. Definitely recommended!
The only negative thing we can write is that it is a little bit of a drive down some dirt roads which we didn't expect. Not a big deal though,

Value for money was absolutely good. Friendliness of the staff and very helpful. The peace and quite should one need it.
I found the lunch to be rather too expensive for what we had. Lack of TV facilities was a bit off putting.

The location of this lodge was perfect for our new year getaway. Surrounded by nature, we were able to relax and unwind in peace. the setting was absolutely stunning and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable beds and the delicious food offered at the restaurant. Best aspects: One of our favorite aspects was the rock pool. It was great to have a private pool all to ourselves. We also loved the fact that we were able to see a lot of wildlife, including giraffes, on our drive to the lodge. Another advantage was the attention to detail in the lodge - everything was tasteful and well equipped.
The road leading up to the lodge. It was in poor condition and not very easy to navigate, especially for a standard car.

Excellent food and hospitality from all the staff. Amazing location, by the river in the heart of wild nature (we saw hypos!). Beautiful stary sky! Amazing wild road to arrive. One of our best addresses in our 20 days trip in SA.
Bathroom in our cottages were a bit small...

Blyde River Wilderness Lodge is one of those very special places you come across if you're very lucky: it was just perfect. I'm delighted to say that the photographs you see on Booked.net are spot on. The hippos really do live in the river and entertained us often during our stay; as did the impala who joined us when having a braai! Jenna and Cynthia were so friendly and were excellent at making us feel relaxed - quite something given that we were with our 4 teenagers!! I have no hesitation in recommending Blyde River Wilderness Lodge.

Spent Christmas at a wildlife lodge. Loved waking up to the sound of hippos in the nearby river and seeing giraffes and zebras in the surrounding bush. The staff was super friendly and helpful, offering great assistance with activities to do in the area. The comfortable rooms and beautiful location made it feel like a true wilderness adventure. Plus, the food was amazing!
The road leading to the lodge was quite long and bumpy, so it was difficult to get in and out. , there weren't many nearby activities to do besides wildlife watching.
